WHAT TO EXPECT
You can refer yourself directly to us and we will aim to meet with you as soon as possible.
Your First Appointment
What to expect
Once you get in touch, we will aim to arrange your initial appointment at the earliest opportunity. We warmly welcome new clients to attend a no-obligation introductory session, offering a space to explore your current difficulties, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and consider your hopes and goals.
It is entirely natural to feel uncertain, anxious, or apprehensive before a first appointment, and our clinicians will do their best to answer any questions you may have. While many clients choose to continue with the clinician they first meet, there are occasions where we may recommend another member of our team whose experience or therapeutic approach may be especially well suited to your needs.
If we believe that another service or form of support may better suit your needs, we will do our best to signpost you.
At Clear Mind, we believe in providing therapy tailored to you.
Moving Forward
Next Steps
Once you decide to begin therapy with one of our clinicians, you will be invited to review and sign a therapeutic agreement. This provides a clear and collaborative framework for your contact, with shared understanding and expectations.
The therapeutic agreement will usually outline practical details including session frequency, agreed appointment times, fees, number of sessions, confidentiality, and any initial recommendations or agreements.
Although an initial course of therapy is often discussed and agreed upon, you are free to end therapy at any stage should you feel the time is right for you.
A note about cancellations
We understand that, from time to time, unforeseen circumstances may make it necessary to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
We kindly ask that at least 48 hours’ notice is provided for any cancelled session. Where sufficient notice is not given, the full session fee will remain payable.
On the rare occasion that we need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, we will always aim to let you know as soon as possible.
We look forward to meeting with you.
